3,169 kilometers over 21 stages
19 squads, 132 riders, 56 teams

With a mere forty flat time trial kilometers, the 2008 Vuelta a España is one that will surely favor the peloton's elite climbers. Fitting, as the Spanish have a long-standing reputation as the most dominant mountain men in cycling!

The race will begin with a short team time trial and several flat stages before an ITT... and then the mountains begin. Look for more than a handful of epic. Riders have pegged stages eight (from Andorra) and thirteen (up the legendary Angliru) as the most difficult.

The air will be hot in Spain this September, but the competition will be even hotter!

Team TTs: 1 (7 km)
